Currently AWE is hardly considered in European and national policies and regulatory frameworks. AWE falls under two policy and regulatory fields: energy and aviation. Bringing both together is new and often complex. 

AWEurope has started mapping the AWE-relevant policies and regulation in a number of European countries:
